Established in 1978, Oh Matilda! is an eclectic salon owned by the husband & wife design team of John and Mari Samluk.
Oh Matilda! is named after John's mother, who was essential in guiding John to the path of hairdressing, making John the twelfth hairdresser in a family of hairdressers and, making Mari lucky # 13 !! Without the backing (in more ways than one) of John's father, Jesse, the salon would never have come to fruition. With advanced education from a wide variety of industry greats too numerous to mention (including the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Santa Monica, CA), the salon is home to John & Mari, internationally trained stylists and colorists with over 88 years of combined experience. We are devoted to hair coloring, our expertise with natural curly hair, and the latest industry trends . We utilize nothing less than the industry's top professional products to reinforce our skills. Our main goal is to provide you, our guests, with the highest quality service in a warm, friendly, peaceful and artistic environment.
